Europe day 2.

I awoke in Basel and had quark at a bakery.  Cindy and I took the bus to the airport and saw more of the city along the way.  I saw a PEZ truck.  We left Switzerland and flew into Italy.  Such a different world between the two.
The city is so flat.  The buildings are tall and right on top of the other.  The streets are flooded with buses and scooters.  Basel was a flood of bicycles and Rome is all scooters.
We hiked all over the city trying to find our hotel, probably a good 1 1/2 hr of walking.  We finally found our hotel after the lady at the train station gave us the wrong direction sending us in the complete opposite way.  Then we had to navigate the streets which aren't clearly marked, if at all.  Finally we found the tiny little sign and scrambled around inside trying to find the door.
The day ended well with the best food imaginable, and heavenly gelato.
